Wedding FAQs
While we would love for all of our guests to stay with us at Villa Lena, we have limited space. Until we have a full headcount, we won't be able to confirm accommodation at Villa Lena.
Once you RSVP, we’ll let you know if there is availability at Villa Lena. Conversely, we’ll provide a list of nearby accommodations. Please note that transportation will only be arranged for guests staying on-site.
By Plane: we recommend flying into either Pisa or Florence airports:
Pisa International Airport (PSA): 45-60 min by car
Florence Airport (FLR): 60-75 min by car
Car rental is advised, but if you prefer, Villa Lena can assist with taxi services. Just email host@villa-lena.it with your flight info.
By Train: The closest major train stations are Pisa Centrale (Pisa) and Firenze Santa Maria Novella (Florence). You can rent a car from there or arrange for a pick-up service. *Italy is prone to train strikes, please check the train website and the news in the days prior to your travel.
By Car: If driving, ensure you get an international driving permit (IDP). Americans can find info at AAA and Australians can find info at the NSW government site. *Some car rental companies may deny car rentals if you do not present a physical IDP at pick-up.
Yes, a rental car will give you the most flexibility to explore the area. Check Avis & Sixt among others. If not renting a car, Villa Lena can help arrange airport pick-ups.
There is ample parking at Villa Lena for those driving or renting cars. You can park near your accommodation or the event spaces. Electric cars can be charged at Villa Lena!
While we adore your children, we’ve opted for an adults-only celebration. We hope you're able to join us.
While we love your loved ones too, there are strict capacity restraints at the venue. If this changes, we’ll let you know closer to the date.
Please RSVP no later than June 20th for all events.
Early October in Tuscany usually means sunny days with mild temperatures (60-70°F / 15-28°C). Evenings can get chilly, so bring a jacket for the outdoor festivities.
We’re so grateful to already have everything we need, and your presence in our lives is the greatest gift of all—there’s truly no need for anything more. As we’ll be traveling, we kindly ask for no physical gifts. However, if you’d like to contribute to our future together, we’d be incredibly thankful. We’re so excited to celebrate with you over three beautiful days in Tuscany! Here’s what to wear for each event:
Welcome Pizza Party – Italian Chic (Smart Casual)
Kick off the festivities in relaxed but stylish attire. Think linen shirts, sundresses, chic sandals, and effortless elegance. Channel your inner Italian... Casual, but with flair.
Wedding Day – Formal Attire
This is the main event! We recommend formal attire. For women, think long elegant dresses. For men, suits or blazers with dress shirts—ties are optional, but always welcome. Dress to impress, but comfortably enough to dance under the Tuscan stars.
Recovery Breakfast – Casual & Comfy
After a night of celebration, come as you are. Think breezy, comfortable clothes such as sundresses, shorts, tees, sandals. We’ll be sipping coffee, sharing stories, and soaking up the last moments together.
The temperature dips in the evening and can be temperamental. If the rain holds off we will be outdoors for most of the activities so bring warm clothing. If it rains, we will move indoors.
